this story is just enchanting. it is such a shame that most stories for kids today turn them into teenagers when they are still just kids.they need to be allowed to be kids,emjoying classic fiction meant for kids. love this

Nick- there are several versions of this tale, and they all are from different places and time periods so the food varies. In this version a cake and some butter might have been hard to come across thus showing the cultures value of family and various other things.
